Founded in 2000, ADP Ingénierie (ADPI) is the international engineering subsidiary of Groupe ADP (Aéroports de Paris or ADP). ADP Ingénierie is in charge of airport construction and equipment projects and has been involved in more than 700 airports in 100+ countries worldwide.
As part of the development of engineering and consulting activities in the Asia-Pacific region, ADP Ingénierie settled a core team of consultants, engineers and project managers across Asia to address the growing activities related to air traffic expansion. As part of a major project in Vietnam, ADP Ingénierie is currently looking for a System Engineer (Baggage Handling Systems, Aircraft Stand Equipment, Safety Equipment, etc.) who will initially be based in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).
Missions :
The System Engineer :
- Will be part of the construction supervision team stationed in HCMC for 2-3 years ;
- Works under the direction of the ADPI project manager based in HCMC ;
- Participates in coordination with other Consultants in charge of other disciplines ;
- Participates to meetings with Clients, Partners and subcontractors
- Liaises with the APAC Operations Director based in Hong Kong for other opportunities in the Region.
The main role of the System Engineer is to :
- Review various technical submittals including design documents, shop drawings ; material submissions, etc.
- Ensure compliance with the Specifications and Design ;
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary consultants team, coordinate activities with other disciplines and have periodic site visits/inspections ;
- Ensure the work activities are completed within the contractual timeline and provide technical guidance to other team members ;
- Provide expert advice to the client on the SAS such as BHS, ASE, PLB, SSE, etc. ;
- Attend project and coordination meeting with Client and other Consultants.
Responsibilities
As part of his activities on the project, the System Engineer will be in charge of:
- Conduct daily supervision tasks for SAS ;
- Report major technical, schedule, financial and administrative issues, as well as measure and monitor project KPIs ;
- Ensure compliance with project procedures ;
- Ensure good internal coordination between engineers and remotely based support experts ;
- Animation of internal coordination meetings (including with Subcontractors) ;
- Manage the filing of contractual and site documents ;
- Review documentation ;
- Supervise quality controls.
In a broader perspective, the System Engineer :
- Contribute to developing in the Asia-Pacific region, ADPI's expertise in the fields of Special Airport Systems ;
- Contributes fully to the reputation of the company through its performance ;
- May be solicited for the preparation of offers for other opportunities in the APAC region.
Qualifications and Experiences
- Engineering degree or Masters degree in engineering or science or management or Equivalent ;
- Experience in design and/or project management for large scale construction projects
- Experience in airport projects and Special Airport Systems (BHS, ASE, SSE, PLB, etc…)
- Knowledge of Quality Management System and ISO standard 9001 ;
- Curiosity, autonomy and thirst for learning ;
- Excellent presentation and coordination skills ;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills : perfect command of English essential, knowledge of Vietnamese or another language would be a plus ;
