Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in software engineering or computer science.
  • At least 7 years of commercial experience delivering quality software and overcoming technical challenges.
  • Proficiency in Java, SQL and at least one other modern programming language—and openness to learning more.
  • Strong communication skills and a humble and collaborative nature—essential for working harmoniously with multiple teams, clearly conveying complex concepts, and documenting decisions.
  • A curious mindset with a keen interest in how your work will positively impact customers while understanding and balancing customer and company needs, considering cost, quality, and schedule constraints.
  • Mentorship and development of junior team members, actively contributing to team processes and providing performance feedback.
  • Proficiency in the design of solutions addressing architectural concerns and collaboration on technical problems.
  • Capability of making proposals for efficiency improvements, adaptation to changing priorities and seeking constructive feedback.
  • Competency of delivery of work that meets intended goals, focusing on both details and broader context

    Responsibilities

    • Work within a development team of 3-8 engineers, to build, maintain, and enhance our open-source application platform, which takes care of the whole lifecycle: provisioning infrastructure, installing applications and, most importantly, keeping the applications running reliably in production.
    • Work from our Ho Chi Minh City office at least two days a week.
    • Take end-to-end ownership of the whole development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment through to our production environments.
    • Collaborate with other development teams, operations teams and product managers to solve complex problems.
    • Learn and apply DevOps best practices as part of a global team that operates 24x7.
