Job Description

Summary Description

Support the Company to identify and facilitate process improvements through improved efficiencies and quality of existing processes, to reflect in a significant productivity & Customer Service improvement.

This position reports to Branch Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist departments and Branch management in developing and implementing new internal processes for continual process improvement.
• Analyze existing data and processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved efficiencies
• Work with Corporate and regional Global Business Process teams to facilitate companywide improvement initiatives as they relate to the branch.
• Measure and validate internal and customer key performance indicators.
• Recommend actions to be taken and support in the execution based on the KPIs analysis.
• Facilitate identification and timely action of Customer Complaints as a means to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Review and Communicate Expeditors’ Quality Management System throughout the branch, and consistently suggest improvements.
• Support and facilitate branch Management Review Meetings
• Coordinate and collaborate in the development of new technologies or solutions in the branch

2. Supporting Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Support the transition of new customers and new/updated processes
• Support product improvement efforts
• Support the sales process primarily in the areas of needs assessment.
• Assist department and branch management in developing and implementing new customer processes

3. Evaluation

• Progress through Process Analyst Development Map & time spent in operations departments as needed.
• Improving Productivity in the branch (assessed through KPIs and Bottom line).
• Facilitate “Effective Problem Solving” projects in the branch & identify root causes
• Facilitate and measure improvements in local branch processes with measurable improvements in cost, quality and productivity.
• Branch Management Review Meetings are held minimum quarterly & being effective
• Improvement Opportunities and Customer complaints are managed timely and effectively.

Qualifications

University graduate with minimum 3 years relevant experience in business process improvement in an international business environment, Fluent in English.

Ability to articulate a message so that decision makers will buy in to change. This includes the ability to identify and use the best method of communication of the message. Ability to relate to clients, suppliers and employees at all levels of the company. Advanced skills in process analysis, including quantitative (data) analysis, and (qualitative) process observation. PC skills including advanced skills in spreadsheet and desktop database applications (Excel, Access, etc.), PowerPoint and Word processing for presentations and documents. Advanced skills in flowcharting in Visio or PowerPoint for flowchart formalization and presentation

Effective problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at the same time.
