What You’ll Do

    • Lead the development, customization, and maintenance of a significant WordPress project for a few months.
    • Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins, or customize existing ones to meet project requirements.
    • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code within the WordPress framework.
    • Implement responsive and interactive frontend interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the WordPress project.
    • Collaborate with designers, content creators, and project managers during the WordPress project phase.
    • Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of the WordPress site.
    • After the initial project, actively participate in the development of modern web applications using ReactJS.
    • Build reusable React components and frontend libraries.
    • Integrate with backend APIs (including potentially the WordPress REST API) to fetch and display data.
    • Collaborate with other React developers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
    • Troubleshoot and debug frontend and potential backend issues.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in both WordPress and ReactJS development.

What You’ll Bring

    • Min 6 months of proven experience as a WordPress Developer, demonstrating expertise beyond basic site setup and theme/plugin configuration.
    • Strong proficiency in PHP, specifically within the WordPress development context.
    • Extensive experience in custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
    • Strong command of HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript.
    • Proficiency in ReactJS development, with 2 years of practical experience building modern web applications.
    • In-depth understanding of core React concepts, including Hooks, functional components, state management (e.g., Context API, Redux, etc.).
    • Experience consuming RESTful APIs in React applications.
    • Proficiency with Git for version control.
    • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks, especially during the initial project phase.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Good English communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
      • Nice-to-Have:
    • Experience developing custom Gutenberg Blocks using React.
    • Experience with performance optimization techniques for both WordPress and React.
    • Knowledge of MySQL database structure related to WordPress.
    • Experience with modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Babel configuration).
    • Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library).
