Job Description

Conduct FSC FM Audits:

• Plan and execute FSC FM audits in accordance with Bureau Veritas and FSC requirements.
• Assess and evaluate forestry practices, ensuring compliance with FSC standards and criteria.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Client Collaboration:

• Build strong relationships with clients, providing guidance on FSC certification processes and requirements.
• Communicate audit results and collaborate with clients to develop corrective action plans where necessary.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay abreast of FSC standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Ensure audits align with FSC guidelines and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and organized audit documentation.
• Generate clear and concise reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Professional Development:

Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends and audit methodologies.

Qualifications

Tertiary (university or college) qualification in forestry/environmental management plus a minimum of 5 years’ of professional experience in an area of work relevant to a forestry evaluation:

• Secondary qualification plus a minimum 10 years of professional experience in an area of work relevant to a forestry evaluation:
• Relevant experience will be restricted to the following:
• Direct employment in the role of a forestry/environmental manager: or
• Acting as a consultant directly related to forestry/environmental management: or
• Working as an auditor in the field of forestry/environmental management
• Successful completion (certificate) of an IRCA registered “ISO management standard auditor course” or an ISO 19011 course on auditing techniques
