This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior AWS Data Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and optimizing data pipelines that support the ingestion and processing of large data sets. You'll work with various data sources and AWS services, ensuring a robust infrastructure that enhances data accessibility across the organization. Collaborating with stakeholders in different time zones, you will drive projects that improve data governance and quality. Your contributions will be crucial in establishing data models and supporting analytics that drive business decisions.

Accountabilities

    • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture for data ingestion and processing.
    • Develop infrastructure for ETL jobs using S3, Snowflake, and AWS data services.
    • Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-effectiveness using AWS Glue and PySpark.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple time zones to align on data needs.
    • Implement data modeling best practices and technical awareness.
    • Support data quality and governance initiatives.
    • Utilize strong analytical skills to define problems and propose solutions.

Requirements

    • 6-9 years of experience in Data Engineering.
    • Proficiency in data storage technologies: Amazon S3, SQL, and NoSQL.
    • Hands-on experience with AWS data services like Glue and Lambda.
    • Ability to write complex SQL queries.
    • Strong communication skills and a team player.
    • Familiarity with Big Data technologies is a plus.
    • Relevant experience in payments domain knowledge (CRM, Accounting) preferred.
