The team

Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam is part of a 300 strong global delivery network, supporting Hitachi Digital Services around the globe. Our employees collaborate with teams in Japan, India, Portugal, and the US, servicing customers worldwide and working on a huge variety of projects. From cloud migration to digital modernization and advanced analytics, offering operational excellence, agile delivery, and plenty of energy to work on huge transformation projects for our customers

The role

The Japanese Speaking Project Manager should be adaptable to navigating complex project requirements and be prepared for occasional travel to Japan for client and stakeholder meetings.

Responsibilities include coordinating with cross-functional teams, overseeing project milestones, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.

What you’ll bring

  • Manage software development projects with Japanese client to ensure good communication with client, high quality delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in pre-sale to make proposals.
  • Proven experience managing software development projects (Agile and/or Waterfall).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, quality assurance, and delivery best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with Japanese clients.
  • Cross-cultural awareness and experience working in Japanese business environments.
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams and coordinate between client and offshore/onshore teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk management skills.
  • Good documentation and reporting ability in both English and Japanese.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or relevant certifications are a plus.
