IT Senior Manager (E-Commerce Platform)

1. Job Description
   
   • Lead and manage the IT/Engineering team, including backend developers, infrastructure engineers, and external vendors.
   • Design, develop, and optimize large-scale backend systems using Golang and microservices architecture.
   • Architect and maintain scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure for high-traffic e-commerce operations.
   • Design and optimize database architecture, data structures, caching strategies, and query performance for large-scale transactional systems.
   • Lead system modernization and migration projects, including monolithic-to-microservices transformation.
   • Define overall system architecture, technical standards, and development best practices.
   • Architect and oversee integrations with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Shopee, Lazada, payment gateways, ERP, CRM, and third-party systems.
   • Ensure system stability, scalability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, backup, and infrastructure security.
   • Define architecture standards for APIs, service communication, message queues, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing.
   • Monitor and improve system performance, infrastructure efficiency, and database reliability.
   • Manage technical debt, conduct code reviews, and continuously improve SDLC, DevOps, and CI/CD processes.
   • Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to support business objectives and operational efficiency.
   • Research and propose new technologies, tools, and architecture improvements aligned with long-term business strategy.
   • Mentor and develop engineering team capabilities and technical leadership culture.
2. Requirements
   
   • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
   • Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, backend development, or system architecture.
   • Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams or managing large-scale system architecture projects in a Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, Solution Architect, or equivalent role.
   • Strong expertise in: Golang development; Database architecture and optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, or equivalent); Data structures and system design; Infrastructure architecture and scalability; Microservices and distributed systems.
   • Strong hands-on experience designing and managing large-scale microservices ecosystems in production environments.
   • Solid understanding of API Gateway, service discovery, message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka), caching systems, and asynchronous processing.
   • Experience building and operating high-traffic e-commerce systems or large-scale transactional platforms.
   • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, server architecture, containerization, and DevOps practices.
   • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and cloud-native architecture.
   • Strong understanding of system scalability, load balancing, high availability (HA), and performance optimization.
   • Experience integrating APIs, payment gateways, ERP systems, and third-party e-commerce platforms.
   • Solid understanding of infrastructure security, backup systems, and disaster recovery planning.
   • Strong leadership, project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
   • Good English communication skills for technical discussions, documentation, and meetings.
   • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the beauty, retail, or e-commerce industry; Experience managing large-scale customer and transaction databases; Experience with ELK Stack, Prometheus/Grafana, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies; Experience working in fast-growing startup or scaling environments; Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or ChatGPT is a plus.
