Our client is a leading technology company who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of core components within our blockchain protocol stack, guiding its long-term direction and architecture.
  • Oversee comparative assessments of blockchain/DLT frameworks with a special focus on privacy-centric designs and enterprise-grade resilience.
  • Drive proof-of-concept initiatives and synthesize research into actionable proposals to influence roadmap planning.
  • Actively engage in cross-team architectural decisions, offering both technical leadership and feedback to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
  • ​Continuously monitor and enhance the performance, stability, and security of our blockchain systems in production.
  • Represent the team in interactions with open-source contributors and external collaborators, especially around advanced privacy techniques like zero-knowledge proofs and interoperability layers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    Minimum of 5 years of backend or protocol engineering experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership or mentoring role.
  • Deep understanding of blockchain ecosystems such as Hyperledger Besu, Fabric, GETH, or Canton, with the ability to evaluate and guide architectural tradeoffs. 
  • Hands-on experience with fundamental cryptographic techniques (e.g., key agreement, encryption, signing), and exposure to advanced cryptography like zero-knowledge proofs.
  • Familiarity with blockchain data structures such as Merkle Trees and DAGs.
  • Expert-level programming skills in Go, Rust, or Java, with the ability to set technical standards and perform code reviews. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience mentoring junior developers and leading Agile delivery teams. 
  • Knowledge of smart contract development and deployment in Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) networks.
  • Familiarity with core peer-to-peer networking elements like gossip protocols, DHT routing, and NAT traversal.
  • Exposure to TypeScript/JavaScript with Node.js.
  • Previous contributions to open-source projects in blockchain ecosystems.
  • ​Capable of articulating how distributed consensus algorithms like QBFT, Paxos, and Raft work.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, research, security) to align on shared goals.
