Global Sourcing Manager - Case Goods (Vietnam)

This position is located in Vietnam. 

The sourcing manager will execute Company’s product development and global strategic sourcing strategies , partner with global sourcing leader and category business leader to find the right factories with compelling choice of design, price, capacity and other capabilities of compliance, FSC and sustainability.

Lead the new product development process to ensure complete and accurate instructions being given to factories, timeline is updated and monitored, potential risks are alerted with backup solutions in place, deadline is met. Being the key point of communication between PD and factories to make sure questions are clarified and information is shared in a timely manner.

Lead the management of project for development of major customers like big box retailers including quality requirements, sample development and correction, product compliance, factory compliance.

Lead the efforts of cost saving with partnership of design, pd and packaging, by re-design and re-engineering, alternatives of materials, cube reduction, material & components purchase integration, and resourcing.

Research trends of new material, new manufacturing techniques, new product ideas and present to global sourcing and product development leadership.

Attend furniture shows and seminars to explore new sourcing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics or similar field is required
• Must be proficient with speaking, reading and writing in English.
• 10+ years experiences in furniture sourcing, product development, furniture manufacturing or quality assurance in a global sourcing/trading organization
• Solid knowledge of furniture materials, manufacturing techniques, cost structure, compliance and quality requirement, and factory compliance in Vietnam.
• International Travel is required: >50%
