We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative General Manager to lead our Vietnam office and drive alignment across global operations.  In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily business activities, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring alignment between our Vietnam office and global headquarters. This role is critical to fostering a unified culture, streamlining processes, and enabling cross-functional collaboration across borders.

A day in the life as a General Manager:

  • Team & Culture Management - Serve as a cultural ambassador, aligning the Vietnam office with global values and fostering strong communication between HQ and local staff. Coach HR and recruiting teams to ensure hiring aligns with performance and cultural standards. Oversee internal events, team-building, and performance reviews to build an engaged, cohesive team.
  • Operational Oversight - Manage daily operations, including facilities, vendors (accounting, legal, IT), and admin functions. Approve budgets and expenses, ensure policy compliance, and support audits in partnership with Finance. Oversee IT infrastructure and ensure compliance with global standards like SOC2 and ISO.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as the main liaison between local and global teams, resolving roadblocks and ensuring smooth execution of initiatives. Lead local implementation of new tools, workflows, and strategic projects from HQ, driving adoption and alignment.
  • Leadership & Accountability - Ensure engineering and QA teams meet productivity, quality, and delivery goals. Collaborate with scrum masters and team leads to align with product roadmaps. Track KPIs, report to global leadership, and address performance issues to maintain a high-performing, collaborative environment.

If the below describe your knowledge, experience and character, this role could be for you:

  • I have 5+ years of experience leading operations in a software company with a strong focus on efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
  • I have experience leading through influence and upholding process and policy adherence.
  • I’ve successfully managed operations in a multi-departmental office environment.
  • I have a strong understanding of operational best practices, compliance, and project management.
  • I’m an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • I’m strategic, resourceful, and analytical with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • I’m decisive under pressure and able to hold others accountable to processes.
  • I’m passionate about leadership, mentorship, and building strong, values-driven teams.
  • I thrive in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment and enjoy working across time zones.
  • I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate
  • I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills
  • I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to travel between Canada/USA and Vietnam, as required for the role.
