Responsibilities
As a Sr Enterprise Solutions Engineer, you will be working with our team to create the technical architecture of our biggest enterprise projects. Our enterprise clients deal with massive amounts of critical data that run with virtually zero downtime. As such, they have their own IT and technical teams that ensure everything works smoothly and securely at every level. Given our commitment to customer happiness, we have to make sure our technical decisions always meet their operational demands.
You will join our team in designing, hashing out, and implementing our infrastructure proposals with fellow engineers and tech managers from our clients. You need to be specifically attuned to the priorities and considerations of large corporations, making sure what we build for them is technically sound and can be fully integrated into their systems.
You need to have enough critical thinking and technical proficiency to help our team analyze trade-offs between different technical solutions, and effectively recommend the best way forward given the client’s unique needs and constraints. Client engineering teams will respect your suggestions more if you know the nuances of what you’re talking about!

The company’s roles and associated Sr. Enterprise Solutions Engineer requirements:
Thinking Machines is hiring for a general Sr. Enterprise Solutions Engineer and also a Sr. Enterprise Solution Engineer with a focus on GenAI.
More specifically on the Sr. Enterprise Solution Engineer with a focus on GenAI, you’ll be assigned to work with Thinking Machines’ GenAI team on deploying GenAI projects in complex enterprise cloud environments on major CSPs Azure, AWS, and GCP.

Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of two years work experience in a software engineering role.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Python). Knowing more is a bonus. Knowing too many but all poorly will make our eyes roll.
- Have proficiency in cloud tools and platforms
- *For the Sr. Enterprise Solutions Engineer with a focus on GenAI, you’ll need to have strong experience with networking infrastructure in cloud environments, and deploying applications at a large scale enterprise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience being a tech lead or architect of a large engineering project
- Experience managing stakeholders of varying seniority
- Ability to work with business and user requirements that at times are ambiguous and can effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
- Have been involved in building at least one data-intensive web application platform
- *For the Sr. Enterprise Solutions Engineer with a focus on GenAI, there is a strong preference for someone with experience in Azure. If you don’t have Azure experience, you must be willing to study it deeply in the first 90 days on the job.
- Any of the following certifications:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- AWS Solutions Architect - Professional
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect

Note: the role requires relocation to either Thinking Machines office in Thailand or in the Philippines.
