Python Backend Developer [A-R]

• As a backend engineer in our technology-focused company, you'll have a crucial role in making important decisions to scale and enhance our platform.
  
• Backend engineers are involved in various projects and collaborate with different teams. They have expertise or a keen interest in creating robust and reliable solutions.
  
• In the long run, you'll need to gain a deep understanding of our systems and services to maintain and enhance their performance. You'll also develop new features for applications used in trading activities, with a focus on efficiency and future scalability.
  
• You'll handle debugging and addressing any issues that may arise with long-term and high-performance solutions.
  
• Documenting the development and operational processes, along with essential design aspects, is part of your responsibilities. Keep these documents up to date after any changes.
  
• Take ownership of the codebase and database, actively share knowledge, introduce innovative concepts, and foster a strong development culture.
  
• Reviewing code, supporting other team members in data import and extraction, and collaborating not only with the development team but also with the trading and compliance teams to understand business needs and tasks.
  

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  
• Proficiency in English communication since you'll collaborate closely with colleagues in Singapore.
  
• A minimum of 4-5 years of experience working with the Python language and familiarity with Django or other Python-based back-end frameworks.
  
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational database systems like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  
• Solid fundamentals in areas such as object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
  
• Demonstrated skills in unit testing and debugging.
  
• Experience with GNU Unix/Linux systems.
  
• Familiarity with Git or versioning tools.
  
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Quick problem analysis and resolution.
  
• Fast learner who effectively applies new skills.
