The Position
The IT System Engineer, Admin will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of OPSWAT - the transformation and maintenance of our Azure AD infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and other related software. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
This position will be part of L3 Interdisciplinary support team and will be last line of support as a subject matter expert that resolves the most difficult problems, as assisting both level 1 and level 2 specialists. Provide a streamlined support escalation path for efficient resolution and superior customer experience. They do also configuration changes, research and develop solutions for challenging new or unknown issues. L3 Support covers core infrastructure, customizations, and integrations. In addition to taking advantage of our proven methodologies and standards.
The position requires the ability to work independently to manage and complete both support and project tasks in a timely manner. The IT System Engineer works within a global IT team to support product owners, software engineers, and our customer experience team.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Design integration with Azure AD, Intune, OKTA and on-premise AD
- Design, implement, and automate deployment/maintenance of physical/virtual infrastructure
- Configure SSO and MFA solutions
- Provide L3 system administration
- Engineering solutions with Microsoft Teams, M365, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive
- Envision how Teams/M365 technologies can be implemented to solve complex security problems.
- Provide expert/Lead level Tier 3 technical support services for issues elevated from Operations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot availability interruptions and other production issues
- Manage and support Azure environments, Windows & Linux servers, and a variety of technology tools
- Monitor infrastructure systems and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
- Maintain and improve security through regular auditing and administration of access controls, backups, firewalls, and malware protection software
- Install, manage, and provide technical support for hardware and software configuration
- Upgrade systems as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
- Install and test computer-related equipment for Proof-of-Concept
- Continuously improve technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies & procedures
What We Need From You

- 8+ years of proven experience with Enterprise Systems Administration including:
- Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory
- Migration from on-prem Active Directory to Azure AD
- Architecture & Design
- Security & Compliance
- Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365
- Hybrid setup along with Teams/Intune/OneDrive and SharePoint Online
- Extensive experience with Teams flows and wireframes
- Automation with PowerShell or other scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc)
- Change Management - policy creation, execution, review, and reporting
- Windows and Linux server administration
- Data backup/recovery
