The Position
The Head of Usability and User Experience at OPSWAT is a strategic leader dedicated to championing usability and enhancing user experiences across our extensive cybersecurity product portfolio. This role is pivotal in creating cohesive, user-centered solutions that adhere to our "Trust no file, Trust no device" philosophy. This leader is crucial in fostering a culture of usability, ensuring that our products are straightforward, consistent, and aligned with user needs.
What You Will Be Doing
- Usability Leadership: Develop and champion a comprehensive usability strategy that prioritizes ease-of-use and aligns with OPSWATβs business goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Management, Engineering, R&D, and Customer Success teams to weave usability into every facet of product development, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a global team of UX designers, promoting creativity, collaboration, and professional development.
- User-Centered Design: Direct the creation of user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, ensuring they meet user requirements and enhance overall product usability.
- Continuous Improvement: Establish and monitor usability KPIs, driving enhancements through user feedback and rigorous testing.
- Consistency Across Products: Ensure that all OPSWAT products maintain a unified and intuitive user experience, reinforcing cross-product consistency in design and usability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate user insights into strategic decisions and product roadmaps.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor products, using insights to elevate OPSWATβs usability standards.
What We Need From You
- 10+ years of experience in UX design, with a significant focus on usability.
- At least five years in a leadership role managing UX or usability teams.
- Demonstrates ability to develop user-centered design solutions and usability strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Deep understanding of usability principles and user psychology.
It Would Be Nice If You Had
- Experience in the cybersecurity industry and familiarity with cloud-based and/or mobile application design.
- Proven track record in dynamic, cross-functional organizational settings with a global reach.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to usability decisions.
