Associate Data Scientist / Data Scientist

The Position

We are looking for a driven and passionate Associate Data Scientist / Data Scientist  to join our growing software engineering team. Join the MetaDefender Sandbox Team focuses on innovating cutting-edge sandbox and threat intelligence solutions – on premise and in the Cloud. As part of an international team with members in Vietnam, Spain, Georgia and Hungary you will have the opportunity to work on an amazing product, both locally and remotely around the world. 

What You Will be Doing

• Apply modern technologies and techniques to identify trends in large, complex, structured, and unstructured data sets, that are cyber security or malware related. 
• Solve a wide range of file/data analysis problems: forecasting, data classification, data clustering, regression, anomaly detection, deep learning, model optimization and shipment etc. 
• Design, develop and employ tools and processes for training & testing AI models. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional and product teams to identify, develop, and test out new ideas. 
• Work closely with Data Engineers, establishing end-to-end ecosystems to store, extract, and organize data, and predict cyber security relevant trends and insights. 
• Build and nourish a culture of data-driven decision making, influencing the mindset of colleagues and management as well.

What We Need from You 

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, AI or equivalent. 
• Solid understanding of optimization strategies, ML algorithms, training & testing, performance analysis and evaluation methodologies. 
• Programming expertise in some relevant language (Python, SQL, C++, R). 
• Ability to present findings, work both independently and within small groups. 
• Strong attention to detail and an ambition to learn & experiment with new things in the field of cyber security. 
• Experience in AI and ML development and operations (MLOps) is an advantage. 
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS preferred) and edge computing in the context of ML and AI is nice to have.  
• Experience in file structure analysis (static and dynamic) is also a plus.
